Our story
Born from a Real Need
Sudo was created after watching South Sudanese creators, communities and friends struggle to find a social platform built with them in mind. The diaspora experience is unique — juggling dual identities, long-distance family ties, and a desire to share and consume content that reflects who we are.
At home in South Sudan, the need is just as real. People want a space where their language, culture, and stories live front and center — not buried under the noise of generic global apps.
We asked a simple question: what if there was a social platform built specifically for this community — one that treats trust, safety, and cultural understanding as the foundation, not an afterthought?
That question became Sudo.
